The Saab 9-5 has already been awarded with highest possible rating, five stars, under USNCAP, the American equivalent to EuroNCAP. It has also been given the highest safety rating by IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) in the US. And in Sweden, a survey based on real road accidents, found the Saab 9-5 to be the only car with a performance more than 40% better than the average.

The 9-3 range features a powerful new four cylinder diesel engine with a unique two-stage turbocharging system, a world ‘first’ in the premium car segment, giving class-leading efficiency.
